· The numeric registration form shall be received before June 30th 2003
· The nominal registration form shall be received before July 7th 2003
PARTICIPATION (Individual Competence, divided by weigh)
a. Each country
will be able to participate with: One athlete per Weigh Category
b. Each competitor shall
prove his/her identity, sex, age, and nationality through his/her passport or
any other official ID from the country of origin, except the Bolivian
competitors who will only need to present their National ID’s.

SYSTEM OF COMPETENCE
MATCH TIME:
For all the categories, male and female, the time of competence will be of three minutes.
AWARDS:
To the athletes:
All categories shall be awarded with Medals and Diplomas.
To the Participating Countries:
· Team Trophies shall be granted (1°, 2° and 3° places for male and female).
· “The Great PJU Champion” Trophy shall be conceded to the country that has accumulated more gold medals.
To the delegations’ members:
Diplomas of participation shall be given to each member of the participating delegations on the behalf of the Organizing Committee

Note Well: Before the weigh in, the athletes shall present their respective Passport and their Accreditation to the event in order to verify the identity of the competitor. All the athletes must be affiliated to the Panamerican judo Union, and in case of being black belts, they must be recognized by the PJU (Resolutions 01-2002 and 02-2002 decided in the 2002 Panamerican Congress conducted in the city of Santo Domingo)
Sunday 30 (South American Championship)
LODGING AND FOOD
a) Fifty American dollars (USD 50) daily per person. It includes lodging, meals and internal transportation between the airport, hotel, competition venue, training venues and others.
OPENING
CEREMONY:
At the delegations’
arrival, the Organizing Committee shall offer all the information requested
regarding the General Program and Opening ceremony.
FLAGS AND NATIONAL HYMNS:
Each federation shall present their Flag (1.20 x 1.80 Meters) and a cassette or Cd with their National Song (short version) at the moment of arrival and accreditation.
RULES:
THE PANAMERICAN AND
SOUTH AMERICAN JUDO CHAMPIONSHIP- CATEGORY: MALE AND FEMALE, will be carried out
in accordance with the current Rules of the International Judo Federation (IJF),
adopted by the Panamerican Judo Union, in the following way:
1. Athletes belonging to 11 and 12 year old categories will not be able to fight in categories for 13 and 14 year olds, and vice versa.
2. In all the Infantile Categories, techniques of handling or disarticulations (KANSETSU WAZA) and strangle (SHIME WAZA) will not be allowed. Those athletes who intentionally apply any kind of Kansetsu Waza will be penalized with DIRECT HANSOKUMAKE.
EMERGENCY MEDICAL ASSISSTANCE :
The Organizing committee shall provide an emergency medical assistance to all the participants officially registered by their respective National Federation.
In the event of requiring any unusual medical attention such as: injury and / or sickness that require hospitalization, treatments, surgery, or special medicine, the cost of these shall be under the National Federation he/she represents. Therefore, all National Federations participating will exempt the PJU , the Bolivian Judo Confederation and the Organizing Committee for any misfortune that could occur during the competence development.
UNFORSEEN
Everything that is not foreseen herein shall be discussed by the Executive Committee of the PJU and the Bolivian Judo Federation.
SPECIAL ATTENTION: CONTROL AND REGISTRATION OF COACHES
In order to carry out a control of behavior of coaches within the area of competence, the PJU shall enable a Record for this purpose. For that reason, the Organizing Committee shall give the coaches of each country an Official PJU Vest , which must be wore in order to entry to the Area of Competence
FINAL AND COMPULSORY STIPULATIONS
All the participants officially registered by their National Federations shall carry into effect the resolutions taken in the 2002 Panamerican Congress conducted in the city of Santo Domingo, concerning the annual affiliation for the year 2003, which shall be paid at the moment of doing the definite registration in the city of La Paz, according to the following:
ATHLETES USD. 20.-
OFFICIALS (delegates, referees, physicians, coaches, etc.) USD 30.-
DAN GRADE RECOGNITION: USD 60.- (PJU AND IJF diplomas and cards).
If you already have the IJF Diploma, you only need to get the PJU Diploma, which costs USD. 20.- ( PJU Diploma and Card).
The all payments will be carried out cash, traveler's checks and credit cards, won't be accepted
