City
of Guatemala, February 8th, (11:30 p.m.) PJU Press Commission.
A well
organized championship, with a good competition level, though with the
participation of many young athletes with a very short trajectory in judo who
in spite of that showed a significant development in all the judo competitions
in this Central American Juvenile Judo
Championship conducted in this city of Guatemala.
Once the
competitions ended, the PJU ID’s
which allow the bearer as PJU a full active member, were symbolically handed
in. PJU ID’s allows the owner to participate in any PJU activity and official
event for the year 2003 and this consequently fulfills the Resolution 01-2002
approved by the PJU Congress.
Competitors,
referees, delegates and coaches completed the process of accreditation
which
was carried out without any inconvenient. The Panamerican Judo Union made a
symbolic representation of the delivery of the accreditation cards by
selecting at random an athlete, a coach and a referee from the participation
crew.
The process
of Dan Grades Homologation was carried out in the same way, fulfilling the
Process of Dan Grade Certification, approved by the PJU Congress in its
Resolution No. 02 –2002. It was here when Prof. Heli Cabeiro received his
Diploma and card, which accredit him as Eighth DAN in Judo, by the Executive
Committee of the Panamerican Judo
Union through its Education and Coaching Direction and with the due support of
the National Judo Federation of Guatemala
From this web site, our salutation to Prof. Heli Cabeiro, for this fair recognition that the PJU is giving to someone who, according to many (friends and strangers), has been the artificer of Central Judo, Congratulations Prof. Cabeiro!!!
Once the competition was over, the presidents of the National Federations from Central America attended the invitation made by the executive Committee of the PJU for dinner in a very elegant and well known restaurant in the Guatemalan Capital, where they all shared a nice and warm moment of camaraderie. It was a pleasant night where everybody, like a united family, shared a big toast: To our sport, its development and the repercussion it is having in Central America
All the attendants shared, right after dinner, the excellent opportunity for doing opinions, ideas and jokes exchange
It was an unforgettable evening. The good service and the harmony prevailed throughout the whole event, showing that the Panamerican Judo Union is strengthening day after day.
