delegaciones participantes en la VI Copa FEDOJUDO, para totalizar
unos 18 países.VII Circuito Panamericano Senior de Judo

(Santo Domingo, Especial UPJ) En el día de hoy culminó la llegada de las
delegaciones participantes en la VI Copa FEDOJUDO, para totalizar
unos 18 países.
A las 4 pm se procedió a realizar la Clínica de
Arbitraje en la Casa Nacional del Judo, dirigida por el Ing. Juan Chalas,
Director Técnico de la Federación Dominicana de
Judo, en la cual se tocaron los puntos más resaltantes a tomar en cuenta dentro
de las jornadas de competencia, así como la revisión del video de arbitraje de
la FIJ.
A las 6 pm se realizó un agasajo de bienvenida a las delegaciones
participantes en el Hotel Plaza Colonial, en la cual el Ing. Jaime Casanova
Martínez, en representación de la Federación Dominicana de 
Judo,
dió las palabras de bienvenida a todos los países, expresando sus complacencia
por la masiva asistencia de atletas e invitándolos a todos a continuar
participando en los eventos del Circuito Panamericano.
Posteriormente se realizó la Reunión Técnica y el Sorteo a
las 8 pm, dirigido por el Director Deportivo de FEDOJUDO, el Ing. Elpidio
Pimentel, y que también contó con la presencia del Director
Deportivo de la UPJ, el Lic. Frank Fullerton, quedando todo preparado para el
día de mañana, cuando se dará inicio a las competencias.
Para la Copa FEDOJUDO, la delegación anfitriona contará con sus mejores atletas, entre los que destacan Dulce Piña (campeona de las ediciones del 94, 95, 96, 97 y 98), Eleucadia Vargas (campeona del 94, 96, 97 y 98), Altagracia Contreras (campeona del 95, 98 y 99) y Vicbart Geraldino (campeón del 96, 97 y 99).
Dentro de los equipos participantes podemos destacar la presencia de los campeones defensores de 1999: Germán Velázco (Perú), Adriana Lozada (México) y Ariel Scanga (Argentina), así como de otra gran cantidad de atletas de excelente nivel.
09/06/00 (Santo Domingo, Special UPJ) Today finished the arrival of the participant delegations in the VIth FEDOJUDO Cup, for a total of 18 countries.
At 4 pm was held the Referee Clinic in the National House of Judo, directed by the Engineer Juan Chalas, Technical Managing of the Dominican Judo Federation, in which were played the most important points to take into account in the competition days, as well as the revision of the refereeing video of the IJF.
At 6 pm was held to welcome ceremony to the participant delegations at the Hotel Plaza Colonial, in which the Engineer Jaime Casanova Martínez, representing the Dominican Judo Federation, gave the welcome words to all the countries, expressing his gratitude for the massive attendance of athletes and inviting all to continue participating in the events of the Pan-American Circuit.
At 8 pm was held the Technical Meeting and the Draws, directed by the Sport Managing of FEDOJUDO, the Engineer Elpidio Pimentel, and also had the presence of the Sport Director of the PJU, the Lic. Frank Fullerton, leaving all prepared for tomorrow's day, when will be given the beginning of the competitions.
For the Copa FEDOJUDO, the host delegation will have their best athletes, among those that highlight Dulce Piña (champion of the editions of the 94, 95, 96, 97 and 98), Eleucadia Vargas (champion of the 94, 96, 97 and 98), Altagracia Contreras (champion of the 95, 98 and 99) and Vicbart Geraldino (champion of the 96, 97 and 99) .
