We take the opportunity to inform you that the XI Infantile and Juvenile International FEDOJUDO Cup and Central American & Caribbean Championships, male and female, will be held in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic from august 23 to 26, 2007.

The organizer committee will take care of the transport from and to the airport, competition venue and all related activities. We will appreciate your participation in Santo Domingo next august.

COMPETITION SYSTEM

  • ROUND ROBIN (Up to 5 competitors)

  • SIMPLE ELIMINATION WITH DOUBLE CROSSED REPECHAGE (more than 5 competitors).

Important Notice: In relation to the Round Robin competition system the following norms will be effective:

Art. I:  Tie between three (3) competitors. The same criteria will be held in case of tie, these criteria are:


1. - Number of won combats
2. - Score obtained
3. - Result of the Individual series.

In case the tie is not broken the judokas involved will fight again, and Golden Score will make the resolution of these new combats.

Art. II:  Round Robin Special Situations: In view of the problems that we have faced with special cases that eventually occur in some events where the Round Robin Competition system is used, where we have noted one or more discordance between the sport rules and the competition rules in some cases the following is decided.

When a competitor retires or when a competitor does not show up:
a) Fusengachi Case (Not Showing up)
b) Kiken Gachi  Case (Withdrawal)

Note: The points/score of the competitors who retires from the competition for one of these reasons will not eliminated, the obtained score will be shown on the respective competition board.

In the cases where there are only four (4) competitors registered in one category:
a) Award four (4) medals even when a competitor has not won any combat.

Cases where all the places are not completed in Round Robin:
a) Award the medals even when the nominal has not been completed

Example:

One Competitor   - Gold
Two Competitors  - Gold and Silver
Three Competitors – Gold, Silver and Bronze

Important Notice: The following rules will be applied in accordance to the PJU Executive Committee resolution beginning on January 1st 2004.

Art. I:  In the events that include various consecutives competition as Kata, Shiai and Team, or different events one weighting will be made, in order to not cause more trouble to the competitors, considering the competitors do not change categories in the events following the initial weighting. (Effective from 01/01/2004). All the resolutions of application for Round Robin and in events where there are various tournaments will be effective beginning on January 01 2004:

B. - Participants:

        1. -Each country will be able to participate at most with 2 participants in the XI FEDOJUDO Cup, in each weight division, male as well as female, with the exception of the host country, which will have open participation. IT WILL BE MANDATORY FOR EACH ATHLETE TO BRING ONE WHITE JUDOQUI AND ONE BLUE JUDOQUI IN ACCORDANCE TO THE RULES OF THE INTERNATIONAL JUDO

D. - Administrative:

Before the official weighting, the athletes will have to present their passport and their respective Event Credential in order to confirm the identity of the competitor. All the athletes will have to be affiliated to the Panamerican Judo Union and if they are black belt they have to be homologated by the PJU. . (Resolution 01 y 02 of The Panamerican Judo Union Congress of Santo Domingo.  Congress 2002)

For those Panamerican Judo Union events of official nature, all the participates registered by the National Federation will have to comply with the resolution of the PJU Congress held in the City of Santo Domingo in relation to the payment of the yearly affiliation of the year 2003, and which will be paid at the time on registration in the city of Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic) in accordance with this table:

1. Athletes: US $ 20
2. Officials: US $ 30 (delegates, referees, doctors, masseurs, kinesiologists, coaches
3. Dan Homologations: US $ 60

NOTE: The payments must be made in cash; credit cards and traveler’ s check will not be accepted.

In reference to the Membership and Dan degrees Homologation program.

Art. I:  Beginning on  January 01 of the year 2004 all the Dan degrees will have to be recognized by the president of the national federation,  the technical delegates before the congress will have to present to the commission in charge of the homologation and membership pocess a list of the members of their respective team (competitors delegates, referees and others) that have a degree (DAN) no exception will be made and the people who do not appear on that list the right participate in the event that is being held will be denied ( championships, training camps, seminaries, clinics, etc.). The competitors that have a degree (DAN) that are not on the official list will not be in the draw. 

Art. II: Beginning on January 01 2004 all the participants that are on the official list of a National Federation in their many functions (Competitors, Referees, delegates, masseurs, doctors, psychologists and others) will have to get affiliated to the Panamerican Judo Union through the official delegate of the respective National Team.  The Panamerican Judo Union will not accept individual affiliations of any member of a National Selection; this will be mandatory in order to participate in the event. Those competitors who do not affiliate before the technical congress; will be excluded of the draw  all rights of participation will be denied. ACOMMODATION:


 

The arrival day of the delegation for the International Fedojudo Cup and the Central American and Caribbean Championship will be on June 18th (this is due to availability at the Hotel). The name and address on the official hotel of the event will be informed in the future. The organizing Committee of the event will grant three (3) free quota athletes and one (1) for a trainer, the other delegates will have to pay their accommodation and food, which will have a cost of US$60.00 (sixty dollars and 00/100) per day per person in a quadruple room, strictly.

 

The stay before August 23 and after August 27 will be responsibility of the delegations with a cost US $ 60.00 (sixty dollars and 00/100) per person per day and the payments must be in cash

 

Important Notice: The delegations that do not use the accommodation, food and transportation arrangement offered by the Dominican Judo Federation will have to pay a cancellation fee of US$50.00 (Fifty dollars with 00/100).

 

TRANSPORTATION:

 

The participating delegation will dispose of the following transportation facilities:

 
 A. - From the Airport and to the Accommodation location. And vice versa.
 B. -To the training location
 C. -To the Competition Location

 

REGISTRATION DATE:

 

1.-Primer Aviso

La Federación Nacional de Judo de cada país debe enviar la hoja de inscripción preliminar con el número de participantes (Inscripción Numérica) al Comité Organizador a más tardar el 20 de julio del 2007.-
 2.-Inscripción Oficial

La Federación Nacional de Judo de cada país participante debe enviar la hoja de inscripción con los nombres de los competidores (y su categoría),entrenadores, árbitros y oficiales al Comité Organizador a más tardar el 05 de agosto de 2007.

3.-Información de Vuelos

Debe ser enviada al Comité Organizador a más tardar el 14 de agosto del 2007, especificando, Línea Aérea, No. De Vuelo, Hora de Llegada y No. de personas.
 
Important Notices:
  1. Each country must bring their flag and anthem (recorded on tape, cd, mp3 in short version.).

  2. The granting of visa to enter the Dominican Republic territory depends exclusively to the immigration authorities of the Dominican Republic, however any inconvenience may be resolved if notice is sent with sufficient time before the difficulties arise, if they do.

  3. Each Federation will assume the responsibilities in case of accident and/or sickness as well as civil responsibility during their stay in the Dominican Republic. 

  4. During the event doctors for first aid assistance will be available.

  5. The weather conditions for Venezuela, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Mexico and Colombia, are similar.

Disposiciones Finales y Transitorias:


Whatever is not covered by these rules, conditions and regulations will be resolved in the following manner.

  • Of technical Nature: Will be resolved by the Technical Direction of the PJU and Dominican Judo Federation

  • Of Organization and Administrative Nature: It will be resolved b y the Organizing Committee.
