Vth International Cup FEDOJUDO
Vth Central American and Caribbean  Championships
June of 1999

        We have the pleasure to inform them that the Vth International Cup FEDOJUDO and the Vth Central American and Caribbean Championship will be celebrated in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, from 10 to 14 of June of 1999.

        These Events will be hold in the superior categories in the Male and Female branches, as the second date of the 6th Panamerican Circuit of Judo.

        We will be very happy that your teams would be present in these tournaments for those who we extend a cordial invitation.

        We send the regulations for the events, programs, inscriptions forms and itineraries of flights.

        Hoping to see you participating in Santo Domingo, Diminican Republic in June of 1999, we say goodbye.

PARTICIPANTS:

        All the participant countries of the Central American and the Caribbean area and those invited countries from Europe, Asia, Africa and Oceania..

CONDITIONS:

        A.- Technical:
        1.-Rules of the International Judo Federation(IJF).
        2.-Male
            -55, -60, -66, -73, -81, -90, -100, +100 Kgs and Open
        3.-Female
            -44, -48, -52, -57, -63, -70, -78, +78, Kgs and Open

        B.- Participants:
        1.-Each country could participate with only one competitor per weight category in male and female
        2.-In the Vth International Cup FEDOJUDO could participate with more than one competitor per weight category in male and female.
        The medals will be computed as follows:
        Gold              5 points
        Silver            3 points
        Bronze         1 point
        The addition of the points determine the winner of the Vth International Cup FEDOJUDO. The host country reserved the right to participate with more than one team.
        3.-In the Central American and Caribbean Championship, each country will participate with only one competitor in each weigth division , including the host country

INSCRIPTIONS:

        Without cost for all the participants.

ACOMODATION:

        The Dominican Judo Federation, Inc. (FEDOJUDO), will provide the accomodations and meals for a maximun of 8 persons per delegation, 6 athletes and 2 officials from Thursday 10 to Monday 14 of June of 1999 (5 days and 4 nights). The expenses for each adittional night wil be US $ 40,00 per person.
        The countries that inscribe more than on competitor in each category will pay the participation according to the paragraph above.
        The previous and later stance out of the 10 to 14 of June will cost to the delegations US $ 40,00 per person.

TRANSPORTATION:

        The participant delegations will have the following transportation facilities.
        A.-From the airport to the Hotel and viceversa.
        B.-To the training places.
        C.-To the competition venue.

DATE OF INSCRIPTION:

        1.-First Announcement
        The National Judo Federation of each country should send the preliminar inscription sheet with the number of participants to the Organizing Committee before April 20th of 1999.
        2.-Official Inscription
        The National Judo Federation of each country should send the Inscription Sheet with the names and one (1) photograph of each competitor, coach, referee and official to the Organizing Committee before May 20th of 1999.

        3.-Flight Information
        Should be send to the Organizing Committee before June 5th of 1999.

        1era.- 4 to 6 of June.
            Cups Jigoro Kano and FECOLJUDO in Cali, Colombia
        2da.-10 to 14 of June.
            Vth International Cup FEDOJUDO and Vth Central American and Caribbean Championship
            Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic
        3era.-17 to 19 of June.
            International Tourney Benito Juarez, Guadalajara, México.
        4ta.-23 to 29 of June.
            International Tournaments José Ramón Rodríguez and Judogis Dorados, Pinar del Rio, Cuba
        5ta.-27 to 30 of June.
            International Cup Simón Bolívar, Isla de Margarita, Venezuela.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

        1.- Each country will bring its flag and hymn recorded in cassette.
        2.-The Grant of Visa to enter to territory of the Dominican Republic is exclusive imperium of the authorities of migration of the Dominican Republic, nevertheless any inconvenience can be solved if you send us warning with enough advance of the outlined problem in case it exists.
        3.- Each National Federation will assume all the responsibility for accidents and/or illnesses, as well as civil responsibility of its delegation during its stance in the Dominican Republic.
        4. - The climatological conditions of the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Colombia, Venezuela and Cuba are          similar.
