La Paz (Bolivia), 02 de febrero de 2007. This morning somewhere in the la Paz-Cochabamba highway, a terrible car accident took the life of our good friend José Montesinos. This horrible news has brought consternation to all of us in the Executive Committee and most particularly to Eng. Edgar Claure, Treasurer of the Panamerican Judo Union.

‘Josexo’, as we, his friends at the PJU use to call him, was a very special man, with great spirituality, never in a sad nor bad mood, always kind and collaborative, and today, at his 33 years of age has sadly left us. To his wife Yamileth Ibáñez, parents, brothers, friends and the rest of the family our most sincere and sensible words of condolence and sympathy for this irretrievable loss that mourns not only the Montesinos family but both Pan-American and International Judo Community.

Plenty were the moments we shared with José. He was working as Mr. Edgar Claure`s assistant at the PJU and the Judo International Federation.

This unfortunate event has left us all in perplexity. We have just lost a great friend, and he was barely starting his life.

From these pages we join to the sadness and pain of every member in his family, raising our prayers to God almighty for the eternal rest of his soul.

Josexo, you will always be with us in our hearts and minds. Rest In Peace.
