Subject: Classification to the XV Panamerican Games Rio 2007.

Distinguished Sirs:  

After the conclusion of the Panamerican Senior Judo Championship, Kata and Team, male and female in Montreal, Canada from May 23rd to May 27th with a record assistance of countries and athletes we have urged in preparing the table of classification for the XV Panamerican Games to the be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil from July 13th to July 29th 2007, deciding that the last qualifying event will be held in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic on June 15th with the following specifications:

  1. The classification for the weight division of 90 and +100 kilograms in the male category is complete
  2. The classification for the weight division of +78 kilograms for the female category is complete.
  3. In the weight division of 78 kilograms female the assignation of one quota is pending, so the countries can send their representative to the last event of classification, obviously this excludes the countries that are already classified.
  4. The weight division of 60 kilograms male has a tie between COL, CUB, GUA, MEX and PUR; the tie breaking will assign one (1) place.
  5. The weight division of 66 kilograms masculine has a tie between AHO, ARG, CHI, COL, CRC, DOM, ESA, HAI, MEX, and PER the tie breaking will assign two (2) places.
  6. The weight division of 73 kilograms male has a tie between DOM, HAI, MEX and URU; the tie breaking will assign three (3) places.
  7. The weight division of 81 kilograms male has a tie between ARU, CHI, DOM, ESA, HAI, PUR and URU the tie breaking will assign one (1) place.
  8. The weight division of 100 kilograms male has a tie between ESA, MEX and PUR the tie breaking will assign (2) places.
  9. The weight division of 48 kilograms female has a tie between DOM, ESA and VEN the tie breaking will assign two (2) places.
  10. The weight division of 52 kilograms female has a tie between HAI and USA; the tie breaking will assign two (2) places.
  11. The weight division of 57 kilograms female has a tie between ARG, CAN, MEX and VEN; the tie breaking will assign (2) places.
  12. The weight division of 63 kilograms female has a tie between COL, GUA, HAI and URU; the tie breaking will assign one (1) place.
  13. The weight division of 70 kilograms female has a tie between HAI and VEN the tie breaking will assign one (1) place.

We are attaching the referred tables, which we hope will illustrate better the above information, and ask you to please inform us of any inquiry in regards to it.

Generally speaking the casting combats of the weight divisions with the countries involved and the completion for the weight division of 78 kilograms female will be held in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, the next 15th of June.

As informed by the Dominican Judo Federation, entity responsible for the organization of the event, the cost for local transportation, lodging and food for the participants will be of about US$60.00 (Sixty Dollars and 00/100) per night per participant in double rooms.
