Panamerican Painting Contest

 

During the Juvenil and Junior Panamerican Championships, which will take place in the city of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic from April 23th to 26th, 2009, the Panamerican Judo Union invites you to the Panamerican Painting Contest in reference to our sport. This contest is organized under the following rules.

                                               Contest Rules

Goal: To promote art, culture and education among children from the American Continent.

Participants
: Children up to 11 years old, from all the countries affiliated to the PJU will be able to participate. The organizers of this event will divide participants in two age groups, less than 11 years old and over than 15 years old.

Drawings Presentation: The drawings and designs that will be presented will be handed in by the team delegate (National Federation) who participates in the Panamerican Juvenile and Junior Championship, and will be received the day of the submission of the different teams, by the contest organizer in the office appointed for this activity. 

Format or size: The participating drawings should not be larger than 14x17 inches, this means, not larger than a quarter of a cardboard page, and not smaller than a letter page size.  Any drawing technique will be accepted, i.e. acrylic painting, oil painting, pastel pencils, colour pencils, charcoals, etc., on paper, cardboard or linen.

Awards: The best artworks, chosen by the jury, will be rewarded in the following way: golden medal and diploma for the first place, silver medal and diploma for the second place, bronze medal and diploma for the third place. The first, second and third places will be rewarded in both age groups: less than 11 and over than 15 years old. 

The deadline to present the works will be April 24th, 2009. The exhibition place for the drawings to be selected will be the competition place of the Panamerican Juvenile and Junior Championships, or a place selected for this activity by the event organizers.
