San Salvador, 16 de Febrero. Dentro de la delegación de Nicaragua que participó en el Campeonato Centroamericano de Judo Infantil y Juvenil, la cual estaba constituida por 18 jóvenes con edades comprendidas entre los 13 y 19 años, se encontraba un grupo muy especial de niños que nos impresionó sumamente con su determinación para salir airosos en los combates y llevarse importantes triunfos como el 3er lugar en Masculino Infantil B y 3er lugar en Femenino Juvenil, totalizando 3 medallas de oro, 7 de plata y 5 de bronce.

Luego de compartir un rato agradable con el Presidente de su Federación, el Licenciado Frank Silva, quien a su vez funge como Vicepresidente de la Unión Panamericana de Judo por el área del Caribe, el cual nos comentó que de este grupo de niños la mayor parte proviene de zonas humildes de Managua, capital de Nicaragua, y algunos de ellos inclusive provienen de reformatorios infantiles, pues han sido abandonados por sus familias y no han contado con la debida orientación para crecer como todo niño debe hacerlo.

A pesar de que esta situación social es vivida a diario en nuestros países, la Federación Nicaragüense de Judo por intermedio de sus entrenadores y a su vez hermanos Milton y Marlon García, cumplen con un deber social loable al impartir las directrices de la disciplina del judo, la cual de seguro logrará la inserción de estos niños en la sociedad, demostrándose una vez mas que el judo es un deporte que inculca en los individuos los valores éticos y morales, según lo expresado por la UNESCO.

Venga de nuestra parte una gran felicitación por su trabajo y esperamos que este ejemplo sirva para incentivar a otros.

Within the delegation of Nicaragua which participated in the II Central American Championship of  Judo Infantile and Junior, with a team constituted by 18 young people with ages between the 13 and 19 years, was a very special group of children that extremely impressed us with his determination to win their combats and to take important triumphs like 3rd place in Infantile and 3rd place in Junior, totalizing 3 gold medals, 7 of silver and 5 of bronze.

After sharing a pleasant interview with the President of its Federation, the Professor  Frank Silva, who as well funge like Vice-president of the Pan-American Union of Judo by the area of the Caribbean, which commented to us that from this group of children most comes from humble zones of Managua, capital of Nicaragua, and some of them inclusively come from infantile reformatories, because they have been left by his families and they do not have counted with the due direction to grow as all boy must do it.

Despite this social situation is lived in our countries, the Nicaraguan Federation of Judo trough its trainers and as well brothers Milton and Marlon Garcia, they fulfill a very nice social work when distributing the directives of the discipline of the judo, which of insurance will obtain the insertion of these children in the society, demonstrating itself once again that the judo is a sport that involves ethical and moral values, according to the expressed by UNESCO.

A great congratulation by this work comes from our part and we hoped that this example serves to stimulate to others.
