The Executive Committee of Panamerican Judo Union holds its first meeting for year 2007.

Georgetown, Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands (February 11th 2007) For the first meeting of the of the Panamerican Judo Union of the present year, the members of the Executive Committee met on days 10 and 11 of February in this Caribbean island.

To the effect, Jaime Casanova Martinez, Ernst Laraque, Oscar Cassinero, Edgar Claure, Frank Fullerton and Carlos Diaz who are President, Vice-president, Secretary, Treasurer, Sports and Referee Director; respectively, reviewed the different topics of present  Panamerican Judo. For the occasion they were received by Mr. Jerris Miller II, president of the Cayman Islands Judo Federation who was in the company of Mr. Carson Ebanks, General Secretary of the Olympic Committee of that Caribbean nation.

The most relevant points that were discussed in the meeting were: the review of the members of the different commissions, the medical commissioner for events of the PJU, legal recommendations for the events, regulation for the use of the Video CARE System, (the program for evaluation of KATA, regional meetings, application of the international rules for use of badges on the judo suits, inclusion of KATA and team in Panamerican Juvenile and Junior Championships, life memberships,  doping, referees for XV Panamerican Games and World Senior Championships, assistance to small countries, among other important points.

"It has been two (2) important days of work where all and each one of the members of the Executive Committee contributed their knowledge and experiences so that this meeting becomes very important for the development of our activities for the current year" said President Casanova Martinez when finalizing the activity .
