  9. An athlete qualifies a position for an NOC due to participation in a specific category of competition.  This selection does not belong to the athlete but is given to the NOC of the athlete who qualified.  In the event an athlete changes a category of competition, any medals or places the athlete may have earned in a previous category shall not carry over to the category to which the athlete has changed.  Further, in the event an athlete has earned medals or placed in two categories of competition, the athlete will be given consideration only for the category in which the most recent competition has taken place.
