Dear Mr. Casanova

Very courteously, I remit to you the requirements to obtaining of the tourism visa and a list that details the nationals of countries with which the Dominican Republic has subscribed agreement on gives of visa as well as national of countries that do not appear in the list, they will have to be in possession of the corresponding visa in its document of trip at the time of entering the country, that it can be acquired in the Dominican Consulate near its country of residence.

In the cases of countries where we do not have diplomatic or consular representation, the interested person will have to go closest to the Consulate for the acquisition of the visa. Also it can be obtained in a Dominican Consulate in which it makes previous scale to enter the Dominican Republic.

 Visa of Tourism

  1. Letter of Tourism: directed to the Secretary of State of Exterior Relations or to Titular of the Consular Office in which it is asked for in the outside and subscribed by the beneficiary. The same one will have to contain the following data of the applicant: name, nationality, birthplace, telephone and activity to which it is dedicated.
     
  1. Form 509-ref, original and properly completed to machine or in letter of legible mold.
     
  1. Four (4) Photos front, size 2x2.
     
  1. Three (3) copies of the complete passport: from front page onto the last one. In case of asking for the visa from the outside. Only send via fax the page of generals and the vality of the passport
     
  1. Original passport: with an equal or greater minimum use to the time of duration of the asked for visa.
     
  1. Copy of the roundtrip ticket and/or itinerary of flight of the travel agency.
     
  1. Copies of the reservations of the hotel or tourist package
     
  1. Documents that demonstrate economic status and professional of the beneficiary of the visa, such as work letter, banking letter and/or statement of account, student card, certificate of studies, document of pension or retirement etc.
     
  1. Authorization of trip in writing, of the parents or tutors of minors of 18 years they travel single, properly legalized by a notary and that is accredited by a Dominican consulate in the country of origin of the minor 
     
  1. Certainty of the payment of corresponding taxes (to pay itself at the moment of I deposit)
    1. All the documents that will come from the outside must be legalized by the Dominican consular representation of the corresponding jurisdiction. All the documents will have to be deposited in original and six (6) copies.
    2. All the documents must be, in the case in if it corresponds translated to the Spanish by a legal translator properly credited by the authorities of the origin country and later legalized by Dominican consular representation.
    3. If the interested one is not national of the country in which it asks for the visa, it must annex copy of the documents that demonstrate migratory status of this country.

On visas the foreigners who travel to Dominican Republic, they will have to be in possession of the visa in its document of trip, granted in one of our consulates with exception of the nationals of countries with which Dominican Republic has subscribed agreements on it gives of visa and the nationals of countries authorized to travel to the country provided with a tourist card, whenever the reason of their visit is with tourist aims

*Iceland was excluded because it comprises in the Schengen agreement therefore do not apply to the agreement of reciprocal visa suspension with the Dominican Republic. At the moment, this country being evaluated to be included in the list of countries whose nationals enter with tourism card

*Liechtenstein was excluded because they are not applying to the suspension agreement reciprocal visa suspension with the Dominican Republic. At the moment, this is country being evaluated to be included in the list of countries whose nationals enters with tourism card.
