 Visit To British Virgin Island Judo Federation

Tortola, British Virgin Islands. - An important meeting had effect in this Caribbean island among Mr. Mark Hooper, President of the British Virgin Islands Judo Federation and the engineer Jaime Casanova Martínez, President of the Panamerican Judo Union where the programs of technical attendance were revised, equipment delivery, donation of didactic material, technician support with other countries, among other important points of the previously established calendar.

Mr. Hooper who is a wide expert of this martial art that I found the teacher Jigoro Kano in the 1882 and that from the the year 1964 became olympic sport without abandoning their origins, it will contribute with their knowledge to the technical development of these islands of the oriental caribe.

In this visit, you step has to diverse topics from the local, Pan-American and world judo to the ends of maintaining an appropriate information in particular to each topic and the participation in the XV World Seniors Championship to be carried out in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil of the September 09 to 17, 2007.
