 3. EXPENSES CONCERNING THE IJF OFFICIALS: The travel expenses and accommodation of the officials mentioned under 2 a), b), c), d), e), f) and g) will be for the account of the IJF. These persons will receive from the IJF their flight tickets. The IJF will pay them travel allowances and daily allowances only for the mentioned period. Those guests mentioned under 2 h) IJF VIPs and Guests must be responsible for their own travel expenses however accommodations and daily allowances will be provided.

In case of special questions or requests concerning travel, the General Treasurer has to be contacted. The IJF will not reimburse travel expenses unless previously agreed by the IJF General Treasurer.

       (1) The Olympic Commissioner will be responsible for his/her own expenses.

4. INSURANCE: Each National Federation is responsible for its competitors (the control of non-pregnancy is placed under the responsibility of the National Federations as well as the gender control) and must assume all responsibility for accident and health insurance as well as the civil liabilities for their competitors and officials, during the 24th World Judo Championships (see SOR article 13.3.4).

The organizer of the 24th World Championships and the IJF will not be responsible for any insurance related to the above mentioned matters. Nevertheless the National Judo Federation staging the 24th World Championships shall take all necessary actions to provide insurance coverage against civil liability for the duration of the 24th World Championships (see SOR article 12.1.).  The IJF has no liability for any claims of injury, illness or death.

5. INSCRIPTION FEES: An inscription fees of one hundred (100) US$ per weight category and open category has to be paid before 4th of August 2005 to the IJF General Treasurer at:

Rates include taxes, service charge and are only applicable for Official Delegates and accredited team members (the O.C. has decided that an official delegation is maximum 25 persons see Organization Rules: Point 38).

- 4 weeks before arrival date        : - no charge

7. SOJOURN AND PRESS ACCREDITATION:

8. VISA:  In order to ensure the smooth issuance of visas, each National Federation is asked to contact The nearest Egyptian Embassy, Legation or Consulate for necessary paperwork and start proceedings at least 2 months prior to departure & the countries who do not have Egyptian embassy in their country, will have visa upon the arrival to Cairo airport

But they should provide all the necessary information & details about the participants ( Name, Date of Birth , Nationality, Passport number, Date of Issue….etc) at least 2 months prior to departure to the organizing Committee. The Organization Committee upon request will send necessary documentation, such as a letter of guarantee. Necessary information for the documentation must be provided without delay through the ministry of Foreign Affaires.

9. LAND TRANSPORT: The Organizing Committee will provide transport from the Airport (Cairo) to the hotels upon arrival and from Official Hotels to Airport (Cairo) on departure. During the 24th World Judo Championships, transportation will be provided between the venue and hotels at predetermined times and schedules.

10. ACCREDITATION ROOM: The Accreditation Room will be located at the Hotel Concorde El Salam from Friday September 4, 2005. An Accreditation Card with a photograph will be issued to IJF Officials, accredited National Federation Officials and Media. This Accreditation Card should be carried at all times.

11. CONTROL OF ENTRIES OF THE ATHLETES: The control of entry of the athletes will take place at the Hotel Concorde El Salam (Donia), September 7th from 14h00 to 16h00. Each Head of Delegation must be present, during the control of participants, with proof of their nationality: 

- the passport, or photocopy of the passport
- the control card duly filled with a photograph (of each competitor) fixed on it.

N.B.: The pass for competitors will be done during this control and will be given to Delegation Head. 

12. DRAW: The draw will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2005 at 9.00 pm at the Hotel Concorde El Salam (in the Tent) under the control and auspices of the I.J.F Sports Commission. Each National Federation must send a delegate to attend the draw; a maximum of 2 delegates per National Federation will be authorized.

13. WEIGH-IN: Each day of the competition, the weigh-in will be organized at the Egyptian Olympic Sport Federation Complex -Cairo Stadium – Nasr City – Cairo - Egypt

             (unofficial weigh-in from 6.00 to 7.00, official weigh-in from 7.00 to 8.00).

14. TRAINING FACILITIES: Training facilities:  Planning/scheduling of the training sessions will be organized taking into consideration the request made by National Federation everyday on the basis first request done first served. The training areas are situated at Egyptian Olympic Sport Federation Complex -Cairo Stadium – Nasr City – Cairo - Egypt

15. TICKETS: The IJF officials will receive special identification cards. National Federation officials can enter the competition hall with their accreditation cards; a certain number of seats will be allotted to them according to the following table:

16. IJF CONGRESS AND WORLD JUDO CONFERENCE

The IJF Ordinary Congress will take place on Monday, September 5, 2005 at 09.00 at Cairo International Conference Center – Nasr City - Cairo. Registration of the Delegates and proxies will be organized on Sunday, September 4, 2005 from 14.00 to 16.00 at the Hotel Concord El Salam (Zurich 1 & 2).

The World Judo Conference will take place on Tuesday, September 6, 2005 at 09.00 at Cairo International Conference Center – Nasr City - Cairo. All Congress delegates, National Federation Officials, Athletes, Trainers, and the general public are invited to attend.  Registration will take place on the morning of the Conference. Please contact the IJF Official Researcher, Dr. MATSUMOTO, and David at dm@sfsu.edu or IJF Media Commissioner Prof. BROUSSE, Michel at brousse.m@wanadoo.fr for more information regarding scheduling, topics and submitting poster presentations.

17. FUNDAMENTAL PRINCIPLE

All National Federations, officials, trainers and athletes participating in the 24th World Championships have to respect and accept the authority of the IJF officials, the Statutes, the Sports and Organization Rules and the Refereeing Rules of the International Judo Federation related to the World Championships. According to the IJF Rules and SOR Provisions (point 23.8), individuals deemed to have acted against the IJF, its principles or purposes shall be subject to suspension or expulsion from the World Championships and/or cancellation of their accreditation cards.

18. ATTENTION VERY IMPORTANT

Award Ceremony: According to SOR article 13.3.5, each National Federation has to bring for the award ceremony its official national anthem (short version) recorded on a standard tape, as well as an official national flag for hanging (1.20m x 1.80m).

The competitors wearing their judogi will stand behind the podium according to the following order 2,1,3,3. Every competitor having won a medal has to attend the ceremony and receive his medal in person. If a competitor is absent during the awarding ceremony for no valid reasons he will lose the right for the medal. It is strictly forbidden for competitors on the podium to bring national flags or the similar identification other than the one represented in the regular manner on their equipment. Any demonstration of religious, political, personal or commercial sign is prohibited and so is wearing a cap or any other head cover.
