CREATE COMPETITION

This module allows you to create a competition and set the information related to, like the name of the event and the place. To create one you have to go to the option Create Competition in the menu Competition. This option will star a wizard to assist you for the parameters you need to fill.

The first thing you need to input is the information related to the event. Please fill these fields:

- Event: the name with you want to identify the competition.

- Place: the city or town, state and country where the competition is being held.

- Date: the days during which the competition are going to last;

After you fill these fields, please click on the Next button.

The second step is for the tournament settings. You need to specify the following setting:

- Type of the event:

o National: this option is for local or national tournaments; with this setting the information for the competition will be filtered only by states or clubs.

o International: this option is for international tournaments; with this setting the information for the competition will be filtered by countries only.

- Type of fight form (type of system):

o Single: with this option you will set the draw system to use single elimination.

o Double Crossed: this is to set the system competition to a double crossed elimination.

o Other: this is to use special systems derived from double crossed and pool of five competitors, like the Canadian System.

o Double Modified (Texas system): this option is to use the American system variation of the double elimination.

o Straight Double (Texas system): this option is to use another kind of the American system variation of the double elimination.

- Orientation form

o Portrait: for a Horizontal view of the forms.

o Landscape: for a Vertical view of the forms.

If you need to go back in the previous change please click on Prev. button.
The third step corresponds to the titles of the sheets, this will appears on all the documents you generate in the system.. You need to specify:

- Main title

- Sub-title

- Logo for the event

If you need to go back in the previous change please click on Prev. button.
The last step is to confirm the information. The wizard will show you the data you input, and the will proceed to create the competition and set it as default.

When you choose the confirm button the system will pop-up a successful message, and you are done creating the competition, so you may start using it.

DRAW

In this section you can add the competitors and grouping into the divisions, based on his category and weight.

To access this module you need to go to the Draw menu and the select Drawing.

Steps to generate a Draw

The first action in the Draw module is select the category, this is the age classification o the kind of grouping you are using for this tournament. Like Senior, Junior, College, High School, etc.
The you need to choose the gender for the division, you may choose from:

Male or Masculino: it will show you only the men’s divisions.
Female or Femenino: it will show you only the women’s divisions.
All or Todos: show you genders, men and women.

After you select the category and the gender, the program will present you the divisions available, so you can choose for example from 48kg or 52kg for women or 66kg or 73kg for men.
To aggregate a competitor you need to use the Add Competitors button, at the bottom of the grid. You can also specify a number in the box, and when you hit the button it will ask you if you want to add # competitors at once.
Every time you hit the add button the program add a row in the grid where you can fill the information of the competitor.
In the Competitor’s Name column you can input the name and last name of the competitor. This option has free format, however, we recommend you use the format specified in the Sport Rules, which tells to use LASTNAME Firstname, like this: FLEMINGTON Rosanne.
In the Country/State column you can choose the country of the competitor. To speed your work in this box after you input the first letter of the country/state the program will display a context menu with the ones with start with this letter, move with the up/down arrows and click on the one you desire. If you need to go back you can hit the delete key or backspace and start again.
When you have completed the competitors for this division. You may see a counter to confirm the amount of athletes. If you select the All option in the Gender section, it will tell you how much female and male you have entered.
Now you if you are ready to Draw, so, hit the draw button and it automatically generate a random distribution of fights for this division.
In case you need to re-draw a division, you can hit go back in the system window, and in the draw window click the Clean button, and the hit the Draw again. If you hit Draw it will show you the same draw you made the first time.

Fight System form (combat sheet)

After the draw is generated, it show the result system. In this windows you can see a preview or send it directly to print. In the second option you may specify the amount of copies you need.

Seeding

To make the seeding for a division, you first need to enter the competitors, the follow these steps:

From the grid select the competitor with you want to seed with the 1^st option.
Hit the Seeding Compet. Button. You’ll see how the competitor is add to the seeding grid with the option number.
Repeat the last step for the options 2^nd and the two 3^rd if exists.

Remember change the seeding option because you only have one spot for options 1^st and 2^nd and two chances for 3^rd seeding option.

FIGHT ORDER

This module let you create a list with the order of the fights and distributed by mat. You can create as many list as you want. This list has a pool of divisions attached to it, so you can print whenever you need the distribution for your mat and journey day.

To start this module please go to the Draw menu and choose the option Fight Order. In this module we are going to reference the list of division by may as the order. Follow the steps we suggest you for creating one order.

Step #1 – Create a fight order

To create a new order click on the New Order button, this activate a box where you can enter an identification for this order.
Click on the Save button.
Select the Order you just create from the Orders list.
Go to the Step #2 in the next page.

Step #2 – Assign the divisions to the mat

Clear the division’s list, to do that click on the button Remove all.
Enter the information for this order:

# of competitors by country
# of mat
# of journey/day competition

Select from the divisions already draw the division or divisions you want to hold in the mat you entered.
When you are ready assigning divisions, you may generate the order, by hitting the button Generate Order.
Go to the Step #3.

Step #3 – View the Fight Order

In this section you are able to preview the divisions assigned to the mat, and the order of the fitghs. You also can see the systems with the order on the brackets (inside the circles). Another feature is to draw the referees.

To print the systems with the order of the fight in the brackets hit the button Preview Systems(#). If you want to send it directly to the printer hit the Print Systems.
To have the List Order use the Preview Order or Print Order.
To draw the referees you may use the buttons Draw Referee for assign the referees for one fight, the one selected on the grid. To draw the referees for all the fights you can use the option Draw All Referees. In order to draw a referee there is needed to have the competitors for the fight, so you can assign the referees who don’t belong to the same country. In order to draw referees first you need to enter them, to do that you may go to the Referee tab.

ADDING REFEREE

To enter the referees for the event follow these steps:

Click on the new button.
Assign the number of the referee (column Ref. Number).
Enter the name of the referee.
Select the country where the referee belongs or represents.
Finally assign the mat where the referees are going to perform.
Now you can go to the tab 3. Fights Order and press the button Draw Referee All.

REGISTER FIGHTS

When the division is done, you may enter the results on this module so you can keep track of the competition, and generate partial results.

To enter the results, select the desired division from the combo at the bottom. In the bracket there are input boxes, where you must enter the number of the two competitors for this fight. For example, if you want to enter the winner of the 1^st fight in a System of 8 competitors, you may choose between 1 and 5, then you can use the Tab key and automatically it complete the box with the name and country of the competitor. Repeat this process until you fill all the brackets.

After you enter the winner in the medal brackets the systems automatically fills the table position.

GENERATE RESULTS

In this module you can get a complete list with the results by division. You may also generate a table results. To do this you only need to select the category and then click on the generate button. If you want to re-generate one, you first have to delete the old one, and hit generate again.
